Robotic Computational technology in Architectural Design and Fabrication is rapidly developed. It provides strong capabilities to create what designers think, communicate and build in real life. The goal of this workshop is to provide the participants with a new digital paradigm in design and fabrication, and make them able to gain practical experience on future trends of computational manufacturing using robotic control system. They merge the fields of art, design, engineering, communications, manufacturing and digital technology. Participants will learn how prototypes can be controlled by Robot and driven by digital parameters. This workshop allows the participants to develop skills on computational design under digital parametric software environment with special focus on Robotic digital software.

Tools: Rhino3D – Grasshopper 3D– Lunch Box Tool- Mesh Edit tool - Weaver Bird Tool
In the beginning of the program, digital and parametric modelling will be introduced to build the necessary skills of parametric generative form methods to students. Students will focus on the idea of creating algorithmic architectural form driven by initial parameters and inspired by nature. This module will be supported by a series of lectures and tutorials on digital modeling software
